Your Arms
The lightning flashes, the thunder roars
The rain pours down, splattering the ground
But these I do not fear, I do not shake or stir
I am warm and safe with your arms wrapped around.
I no longer fear the darkness
The horrors of uncertainty that creep
One I feel your gentle hold
I can finally and soundly sleep
It's your arms that hold me tightly, keep me warm and safe
They reassure me that you are still with me, to hold me and love me
My protector, my guardian, my forever, my happily ever after
Your smile, your eyes, but most of all your touch, I know ever more will be
